Rula Lenska, born Róża Maria Leopoldyna Łubieńska on September 30, 1947, in St. Neots, England, is an English-Polish actress with roots in Polish nobility. Her father was a high-ranking officer in the Polish military and government-in-exile during World War II. Lenska's big break came when she played 'Q' in the British TV series 'Rock Follies' (1976). She gained international recognition through advertisements for Alberto VO5 hairspray, which led to her name becoming a joke on US talk shows like 'The Tonight Show'. Known mainly for stage and television work in Britain, Lenska also starred in films such as 'Alfie Darling' (1975) alongside Alan Price.
