Piper Perabo, born October 31, 1976 in Dallas, Texas, is an American actress of English, German, Irish, and Norwegian descent. She moved to Toms River, New Jersey with her family during childhood. After graduating from high school in 1994, she earned a bachelor's degree in theater from Ohio University in 1998. Discovered by a casting director while visiting New York City, Perabo began her acting career. She gained fame for her role as Violet Sanford in the 2000 film 'Coyote Ugly'. Since then, she has appeared in numerous films and television shows, including 'Covert Affairs' (2010-2014), earning a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in 2013. She speaks fluent French and is an LGBT rights advocate.
