完全な経歴
Wendy O. Williams, born Wendy Orlean Williams on May 28, 1949 in Webster, New York, was an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She rose to prominence as the lead singer of the punk rock band Plasmatics, known for her controversial stage antics such as blowing up equipment and chain-sawing guitars. Williams' unconventional lifestyle included jobs like lifeguarding, stripping, and working at Dunkin' Donuts before joining Plasmatics in 1978. After releasing three albums with the band, she embarked on a solo career in 1984. She made her film debut in 'Reform School Girls' (1986), for which she recorded the title song. Williams was posthumously dubbed 'The Queen of Shock Rock' and nominated for a Grammy in 1985. She died by suicide on April 6, 1998.
