Tori Welles was born and raised in California, where she had a tumultuous upbringing due to her punk rock lifestyle clashing with her conservative religious household. At 17, she began working at Seventh Veil strip club after winning an amateur night contest. She transitioned into the adult film industry at age 21, becoming one of its most recognizable stars over the course of two years despite only appearing in around 20 films. Welles worked with prominent production companies such as Adam & Eve and Vivid Entertainment, even being a Vivid Girl contract star.
