Stefania Sandrelli, born on June 5, 1946, is an Italian actress. She is known for her role in 'Il conformista' (1970), a film set in Rome during Mussolini's regime. The story follows Marcello, who takes a job working for Mussolini and is sent to Paris on assignment with his bride-to-be. In the film, we learn that sex and violence are linked in Marcello's mind due to a flashback to 1917.
