Sook-Yin Lee, born in Canada, is a versatile artist known for her work in film and music. She debuted as a filmmaker with 'Year of the Carnivore', premiered at TIFF. In 2014, she won a Canadian Screen Award for her role in 'Jack'. Her play 'Unsafe' explored censorship themes. She directed 'Octavio Is Dead!' winning Best Director and Best Picture at Downtown LA Film Festival in 2018. As a musician, she contributed songs to films like 'Infinity Pool' and 'Antiviral'.
