Rossy de Palma, born in Palma de Mallorca and originally a singer and dancer for the band Peor Imposible, was discovered by Pedro Almodóvar at a Madrid café in 1986. Known for her unique appearance, she became an iconic fashion figure after starring in Almodóvar's 'Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown' (1988) and playing Pilar in Robert Altman's 'Prêt-à-Porter' (1994). She has acted in France and modeled for luxury brands. De Palma is also a theater actress, charity spokesperson, and perfume line creator. In 2009, she posed nude for a breast cancer awareness campaign.
