Radhika Apte, born and raised in Pune, Maharashtra, India, began her acting career with theater, notably working with Aasakta in her hometown. She debuted in films with Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi! (2005). Her first significant role was in the Bengali film Antaheen (2009), followed by her Marathi debut in Samaantar (2009). Apte gained widespread recognition with her performances in Bollywood films like Badlapur and Hunterrr in 2015, and subsequently earned critical acclaim for her roles in Phobia (2016) and Manjhi - The Mountain Man.
