Melissa Sagemiller, born on June 1, 1974, in Washington D.C., stands at 5'6" (1.68 m) tall. She was raised by a political activist mother and a professional American football player father who played for the New York Giants and Washington Redskins. Sagemiller attended Georgetown Day School before pursuing acting at age three with ballet, jazz dance, modern dance, and tap dance lessons. Her stage debut came in 'To Kill a Mockingbird' at nine years old. She later switched to modeling at fourteen after being scouted by Eileen Ford but returned to acting post-graduation from the University of Virginia with an Art History degree. Sagemiller's acting career includes notable roles such as Michelle Ernhardt in 'Raising the Bar' (2008-2009) and ADA Gillian Hardwicke in 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit'.
