Mayra Leal, of Mexican and Salvadoran descent, was born in Houston, Texas. After graduating from the University of Houston with degrees in Communications and Mathematics, she found success as an actress, appearing in various films and TV shows like 'Machete', 'Southland', and 'Memphis Beat'.
