Mariia Netavrovana is a Ukrainian actress now based in Spain, best known for her debut film role as Angélica in the 2024 Spanish drama Caída libre (also known as Free Falling). Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, Netavrovana was a professional rhythmic gymnast and coach before fleeing her home country in 2022 due to the war.
She continued her gymnastics career in Barcelona, Spain, where she was discovered during a casting call for the film, which centers on competitive rhythmic gymnastics. Despite having no prior acting experience and not speaking Spanish at the time, she landed the main supporting actress role, drawing heavily on her personal background as an elite athlete. The film was released on May 17, 2024.
