Macha Méril, born Princess Maria-Magdalena Vladimirovna Gagarina on 3 September 1940 in Rabat, Morocco, is a French actress and writer of Russian-Ukrainian descent. She has acted in over 119 films between 1959 and 2007, notable ones being 'Une femme mariée' (directed by Jean-Luc Godard), 'Belle de jour' (Luis Buñuel), 'Chinese Roulette' (Rainer Werner Fassbinder), and the Quebec series 'Lance et Compte'.
