Lynette Curran, born in Australia, began her acting career in theatre in 1964 with plays like 'The Country Wife' and 'Rookery Nook'. She gained prominence as a regular cast member of the soap opera 'Bellbird' from 1967 to 1974. Her film debut was in 'Alvin Purple' (1973), where she played a leading role alongside Graeme Blundell. Curran also acted in the film version of the serial, 'Country Town' (1971).
