Lesley-Ann Brandt was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. She immigrated to Auckland, New Zealand with her family in 1999. Starting her career as a model, she quickly caught the attention of casting directors who encouraged her to pursue acting. While working full-time, Brandt trained with various New Zealand and international acting coaches. She gained prominence through roles in local TV series like 'Shortland Street' and 'This Is Not My Life', before landing the role of 'Naevia' in the Starz series 'Spartacus: Blood and Sand'. Brandt is fluent in Afrikaans and has previously played competitive hockey. She has since moved to Los Angeles.
