Keiko Takahashi (born Keiko Sekine), born in Hokkaido, Japan in 1955, began her acting career at age 15 with 'Kōkōsei Burusu' under her birth name. She has since appeared in numerous films over a five-decade career in television, film, stage, and commercials. Notable works include 'Tattoo Ari' (1982), 'Hana monogatari' (1989), and 'Fumiko no Umi' (2007). She has received multiple awards including the 3rd Asahi Performing Arts Award, Akiyama Matsushiyo Award (2004), and Mainichi Film Competition awards in 2008 and 2010.
