Kate Levering, born on January 1, 1979, in Sacramento, California, is an American actress and dancer. After graduating from El Camino Fundamental High School in 1997, she moved to New York City to pursue a Broadway career. In 2001, she was cast as Peggy Sawyer in the revival of '42nd Street', for which she received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical and won the Fred Astaire Award for Best Female Dancer for her tap dancing. She then left '42nd Street' to star in the Broadway flop 'Thou Shalt Not', composed by Harry Connick Jr., with no cast recording available.
