Julia Jones was born on January 23, 1981, in Boston, Massachusetts to Frank Jones and Penny Wells. She has a younger brother named Cody. Her mother is of English descent, while her father has Choctaw, Chickasaw, and African-American heritage. Raised in Jamaica Plain, Boston, Jones attended Boston Ballet School from age four and started acting in commercials and local theater at eight years old. After graduating from Boston Latin School in 1999, she earned a bachelor's degree in English from Columbia University in 2005. Jones has modeled for Levi Strauss & Co., Gap Inc., Esprit Holdings, and L'Oréal. Her acting credits include Hell Ride (2008), ER (2007-2009), Jonah Hex (2010), The Twilight Saga series (2010-2012), The Ridiculous 6 (2015), Longmire (2015), and Echo (2024). She also appeared in Chuck Wicks's music video 'Hold That Thought' and guest-starred in Disney+'s The Mandalorian.
