Hannah Townsend, born in Southern California with Irish and multi-ethnic heritage, was raised on classic films, music, and theatre by her parents who were 'radical hippies'. She began singing at age 7 and acted in plays during high school. Her passion for acting led her to graduate from the San Diego MCTC Acting/Theatre Production Conservatory with honors. Townsend has trained under renowned coaches like Eric Morris, Larry Moss, and John Markland. She is known for playing Elise on HBO's 'The Deuce' by David Simon and George Pelecanos.
