Élodie Yung, born on February 22, 1981, in Paris, France, to a Cambodian father and French mother, began her career as an actress at age 29 after earning a law degree. She started with roles in French television series like 'La vie devant nous' (2002) before gaining international recognition for her portrayal of Elektra Natchios in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Netflix series 'Daredevil' (2016) and 'The Defenders' (2017).
