Cynthia Rothrock, born March 8, 1957 in Wilmington, Delaware, began training in martial arts at age 13 and excelled, earning black belts in seven styles and winning numerous championships in karate, kickboxing, and taekwondo. She was World Champion in Forms and Weapons in 1981, and inducted into the International Sports Hall Of Fame in 2014, earning the title 'The Queen Of Martial Arts' from the Martial Arts History Museum in 2016. Rothrock's acting career began with Hong Kong action films like 'Yes, Madam!' (1985), followed by several US martial arts films including two China O'Brien movies and 'Sworn To Justice' (1996). She co-wrote, produced, and starred in the crowd-funded martial arts western 'Black Creek' in 2024. Rothrock is also a successful businesswoman with her own line of martial arts clothing and accessories.
