Courteney Cox, born Courteney Bass Cox on June 15, 1964, is an American actress and producer known for her role as Monica Geller in the sitcom 'Friends' (1994-2004), for which she was nominated for seven Screen Actors Guild Awards and won one. She also starred as Gale Weathers in the horror film franchise 'Scream', Lauren Miller in 'Family Ties', Lucy Spiller in 'Dirt', and Jules Cobb in 'Cougar Town'. Cox has produced and directed several films, including episodes of 'Cougar Town' and movies like 'TalhotBlond' and 'Just Before I Go'. She co-founded Coquette Productions with her former husband David Arquette.
