Initially gaining fame as a singer in Japan, she transitioned into acting after moving to the U.S., where she first gained attention as one of the original Fly Girls on the sketch comedy series 'In Living Color'. Inaba rose to prominence as a judge on ABC's popular dance competition show 'Dancing with the Stars', appearing alongside two other judges.
