Brigitte Bardot, born Brigitte Anne-Marie Bardot on September 28, 1934 in Paris, France, is a French former fashion model and actress who started her acting career in 1952 at age 18 with 'Manina, la fille sans voiles'. She gained worldwide fame after appearing in Roger Vadim's film 'And God Created Woman' (1956). Throughout her career, Bardot starred in around 47 films. She retired from acting in 1973 and became involved in animal rights activism.
