Bibi Andersson (Berit Elisabet Andersson), born November 11, 1935 in Stockholm, Sweden, was a renowned Swedish actress known for her frequent collaborations with filmmaker Ingmar Bergman. After debuting in Dum-Bom (1953), she trained at the Royal Dramatic Theatre's acting school and later worked extensively with Bergman, appearing in notable films like Smiles of a Summer Night (1955), Wild Strawberries (1957), and The Seventh Seal (1957). Andersson gained international recognition in the 1960s and starred in films like I Never Promised You a Rose Garden (1977). She was also involved in cultural initiatives during the Yugoslav civil war. Andersson passed away on April 14, 2019.
