Anne Schäfer was born in Munich, Germany, in 1979. She studied acting at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Zurich and began her career in theater, performing at Schauspielhaus Zürich, Landestheater Tübingen, and Theater Basel before joining the permanent ensemble of the Bavarian State Theater in Munich. Schäfer won the Kurt Meisel Prize in 2009 for her stage roles. She made her film debut in 'Cindy does not love me' (2010) and has since appeared in various TV series such as 'SOKO 5113'. She was nominated for the Förderpreis Deutscher Film at Munich Filmfest 2011 for her role in 'Jasmine'. Schäfer's notable roles include portraying German author Charlotte von Kalb in 'The Beloved Sisters' (2014) and playing Commissioner Sophia Mückeberg in 'SOKO Cologne' from 2013 to 2016. After leaving 'SOKO Köln', she participated in television movies like 'Doctor with Side Effect' (2017) and 'When Women Move Out' (2017). Schäfer also played a hacker in the action comedy 'Hot Dog' (2018).
