Anna Kendrick was born on August 9, 1985 and began her acting career on Broadway, earning a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in the musical High Society at age twelve. She made her film debut in Camp (2003) and gained wider recognition for her role as Jessica Stanley in The Twilight Saga series (2008-2012). Kendrick received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for Up in the Air (2009). She is best known for playing Beca Mitchell in Pitch Perfect (2012), a film about a collegiate all-girls a cappella group seeking redemption after a disastrous performance at finals.
