Kira Reed Lorsch, born in Santa Clara, California, began her entertainment career at age five with school plays and dance recitals. By ten, she was doing commercials and modeling. After moving to Louisville, Kentucky, she attended Youth Performing Arts School and later graduated from UCLA's School of Theatre, Film and Television. Post-graduation, Lorsch enjoyed a successful acting career in feature films and TV shows, including a seven-year stint as a reporter for Playboy. Her work led her to hosting and producing roles at E! and Associated Television International. She joined the cast of The Bay as Jo Connors in 2014 and continues to act and produce in television, digital media, and feature films.

In an office building, a power outage occurs during the evening hours, trapping several employees inside due to malfunctioning elevators and doors.
