Adrienne Jo Barbeau, born on June 11, 1945, is an American actress and singer who rose to prominence in the 1970s playing Rizzo in Grease on Broadway and Carol Traynor in Maude. In the early 1980s, she became a sex symbol starring in horror and science fiction films such as The Fog, Creepshow, Swamp Thing, and Escape from New York. Notably, Barbeau played the voice of Catwoman in Batman: The Animated Series during the 1990s. In the 2000s, she appeared in Carnivàle as Ruthie.
