Andrea Sawatzki, born on February 23, 1963 in Kochel am See, Germany, is a prominent German actress known for her role as Inspector Charlotte Sänger in the Hessischer Rundfunk version of Tatort from 2002 to 2009. She gained international recognition for her roles in Bandits and Das Experiment. Sawatzki's parents are a nurse and a journalist. She resides in Berlin with actor Christian Berkel, whom she has been with since 1997, and they have two sons together.

In Germany's only open-air swimming pool for women, rules and traditions are challenged when a group of veiled women begins to use the facility.
