Mirtel Pohla, born on January 28, 1982 in Tartu, Estonia, is an Estonian actress known for her work both on stage and screen. After graduating from Tartu Karlova Gümnaasium in 2000, she attended the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, graduating in 2004. Pohla began her acting career at the Estonian Drama Theatre (2004-2006) before joining Theatre NO99 as an actress from 2006 to 2014, returning intermittently thereafter. She has won and been nominated for several awards in Estonian theatre, including Best Supporting Actress in 2012 and 2013. Pohla's notable television roles include Berit in Kodu keset linna (2003-2004, 2007-2009) and Maret Roo-Kallaste in Tuulepealne maa (2008-2013). She has appeared in various films, including Malev (2005), Georg (2007), Sügisball (2007), Roukli (2015), and Teesklejad (2016). In 2018, she starred as Karina in 'Portugal', a film directed by Lauri Lagle.
