Known professionally first as simply 'Asami', she later reverted to using her full name before finally settling back on 'Asami'. She gained attention through roles in exploitation, adult, gravure, action features, and pink films. Directors like Iguchi Noboru helped establish her career, with notable works including 'Machine Girl'. In 2014, she won a special performance award at the Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival of Japan. Asami is known for her intense gaze and willingness to take on provocative roles. She has also released several photo books.

Maria Ozawa, born to French Canadian and Japanese parents in Hokkaido, Japan, began her career at age 16 with a TV commercial for DARS Chocolate. She transitioned into adult videos (AV) in 2005 under the name Miyabi. Ozawa started with modeling before signing with S1 No. 1 Style studio, releasing her debut AV 'New Face – Number One Style' in 2005.
