Emily Mortimer (born 6 October 1971) is a British actress and filmmaker known for her versatile film roles, including 'Lovely and Amazing' (2003), for which she won an Independent Spirit Award, and notable TV appearances such as Mackenzie McHale in 'The Newsroom' (2012–2014). She voiced Sophie in the English version of 'Howl's Moving Castle' (2004) and starred in films like 'Scream 3' (2000), 'Match Point' (2005), and 'The Pink Panther' series.
