Juliet Berto (January 16, 1947 - January 10, 1990) was a French actress who rose to prominence in Jean-Luc Godard's films, including 'Two or Three Things I Know About Her', 'La Chinoise', 'Week End', and 'Le Gai Savoir'. She also starred in Jacques Rivette's 'Out 1' and 'Celine and Julie Go Boating'. In the 1980s, Berto expanded her role to screenwriting and directing, notably with 'Cap Canaille' (1983). She passed away from cancer at age 42.
