Kate Marie Nash, born on 6 July 1987 in Essex, England, is an English singer-songwriter and actress who gained prominence in the UK with her debut single 'Foundations' (2007). Her debut album, 'Made of Bricks', peaked at number 1 in the UK and number 36 in the US. Nash won the Best British Female Artist award at the Brit Awards in 2008. She released two more albums, 'My Best Friend Is You' (2010) and 'Girl Talk' (2013), with varying degrees of commercial success. In 2017, she launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund her fourth studio album and released the EP 'Agenda'. Nash is known for playing a role in the Netflix series 'GLOW' from 2017 onwards.
