María Conchita Alonso, born María Concepción Alonso Bustillo on June 29, 1957, is a Cuban-born Venezuelan-American actress who rose to prominence both in film and television. Born into a family with musical roots, she pursued acting after winning the Miss Venezuela title in 1975. Alonso's career spanned various genres, including her notable role as a lead actress in Broadway's 'Kiss of the Spider Woman' (1995), making her the first Latin American actress not born in the U.S. to star in a musical play on Broadway.
