Christine Pascal (November 29, 1953 – August 30, 1996) was a French actress and director born in Lyon, Rhône. She started her career at age 21 with 'Les Guichets du Louvre' (1974). Known for her collaborations with Bertrand Tavernier ('Que la fête commence', 'The Judge and the Assassin'), she earned a César nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Her notable films include 'Black Thursday', 'La Meilleure façon de marcher', 'Entre Nous', and 'Le Grand Chemin'. She debuted as director with 'Félicité' and helmed other films like 'La Garce' and 'Zanzibar'. Pascal passed away in 1996 at age 42.

Bernard, a renowned filmmaker, experiences a creative crisis and leaves his wife Catherine, a psychologist caring for autistic children, and their family home. He rents an apartment in Grenelle, Paris, where he meets Anne, his young unemployed neighbor who becomes his lover.
