Julieta is a middle-aged woman living in Madrid with her boyfriend Lorenzo. When she encounters Bea, Antia's former best friend, it is revealed that Antia is living in Switzerland with three children. Devastated by this news after twelve years of no contact, Julieta cancels their planned move to Portugal and returns to her old apartment in hopes that Antia will reach out someday. As she reflects on the past, we see flashbacks to when she was a teenager (Adriana Ugarte) living with her family in Spain. After meeting Xoan, a Galician fisherman, Julieta divides her time between her family, job, and caring for Antia until a fatal accident changes their lives forever. Unable to cope with the tragedy, Julieta slowly sinks into depression but finds solace in Antia's company and Bea's support. However, one day Antia goes missing without a trace, leaving Julieta desperate to find answers.
