She gained international recognition for her role in 'Lucía y el sexo' (2001) and was praised for her performance in Pedro Almodóvar's 'Hable con ella' (2002). Anaya appeared as a vampire in the Hollywood film 'Van Helsing' (2004), playing Dracula's bride Aleera.
