She obtained a Bachelor of Sciences in Biology with a specialization in Zoology from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Obregón has appeared in films across multiple countries but is most recognized for her television roles in 'A las once en casa' and 'Ana y los siete'. She gained international attention as Bo Derek's sidekick in 1984's Bolero, and also had a role in the American sitcom Who's the Boss?. Additionally, Obregón found herself in controversy following allegations that she attempted to hire individuals to assault journalist Jaime Cantizano.
