Noémie Schmidt was born on 18 November 1990 in Switzerland, the daughter of a lawyer and a biologist. She showed an early interest in performing arts, singing in a choir from 2004 to 2008, and later studying theater at the Lassaad International School in Brussels while giving singing lessons at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie. Schmidt made her screen debut in 2012 with the short film 'Coda'. She won several awards for this performance before transitioning to television in 2013.
