Michel, a retired math teacher living alone after his wife's death, fills his time writing an essay about life's beliefs. One day, Dora, a young homeless woman injured, appears at his doorstep. Michel takes her in until she recovers. Her presence brings change to Michel's routine, but soon strange happenings occur in the apartment.
