Diane Colleen Lane, born January 22, 1965 in New York City, started her acting career at age 14 with 'A Little Romance' (1979), receiving praise from Laurence Olivier who compared her to Grace Kelly. Despite promising starts, films like 'Streets of Fire' and 'The Cotton Club' did not launch her career as expected. After a hiatus, Lane returned with roles in 'The Big Town' and 'Lady Beware'. She gained wider recognition for her role in the TV miniseries 'Lonesome Dove' (1989). Her notable performances include 'A Walk on the Moon' (1999), 'The Perfect Storm' (2000), and 'Unfaithful' (2002), which earned her critical acclaim and award nominations. In summer 1969, the Kantrowitz family spends their vacation at a camp where Pearl, Marty's wife, feels she has missed out on her youth due to becoming pregnant young. Their daughter Alison experiences various firsts such as her first date, kiss, and period while staying there.
