Soul Food: The Series is a television drama that aired from June 28, 2000 to May 26, 2004 on Showtime. Created by filmmaker George Tillman Jr., and developed for TV by Felicia D. Henderson, the series is based on Tillman's childhood experiences growing up in Wisconsin and serves as a continuation of his successful 1997 film 'Soul Food'. It is notable for being the longest-running drama with a predominantly black cast in North American prime-time television history, airing for 74 episodes.
