ストーリー

College student Jeffrey Beaumont returns to his idyllic hometown of Lumberton after finding a severed human ear in a field near his family home. Detective Williams advises Jeffrey not to investigate further but intrigued, Jeffrey teams up with Sandy, the detective's daughter, to find out more about the ear's owner. They discover it belongs to Dorothy Vallens, a mysterious nightclub singer living nearby who has had her child kidnapped by psychopathic criminals. Drawn into Dorothy's world, Jeffrey becomes romantically involved with her and is seduced by the dangerous lifestyle he uncovers. Meanwhile, Sandy develops feelings for Jeffrey despite being in a relationship with Mike, the school's star football player.
