Australian actress Mary Rose Byrne was born on July 24, 1979. She began her acting career in Australia during the 1990s, making her screen debut in 'Dallas Doll' (1994). Her breakthrough role came with 'The Goddess of 1967' (2000), for which she won the Volpi Cup for Best Actress. This led to international roles like Dormé in 'Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones' (2002). Byrne gained critical acclaim and nominations for her role as Ellen Parsons in the series 'Damages' (2007-2012). A wealthy Japanese businessman, Jodhiyashu, travels to Australia with the intention of purchasing a 1967 Citroën DS. Upon arrival, he discovers that the seller and his wife have died, leaving behind their blind daughter, Deirdre. Despite this unexpected turn of events, Jodhiyashu decides to embark on a journey through the Australian outback alongside Deirdre in search of the car's original owner. The trip takes them five days and also serves as an exploration into Deirdre's past and her family history.
