Madeleine Stowe, born Madeleine Marie Stowe Mora on August 18, 1958, is an American actress. She began her career appearing mostly on television before gaining prominence with her role in the 1987 film 'Stakeout'. Stowe has since starred in numerous films, including 'Revenge' (1990), 'The Last of the Mohicans' (1992), 'Blink' (1993), and '12 Monkeys' (1995). She won the National Society of Film Critics Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 1993 independent film 'Short Cuts'. One of her notable films is 'China Moon' (1994), where she played Rachel Munro, a woman trapped in a violent marriage whose husband is shot and needs to be hidden by detective Kyle Bodine.

Detective Kyle Bodine develops feelings for Rachel Munro, who is trapped in an abusive marriage. After Rachel's husband is shot, likely by Rachel herself in self-defense, Kyle reluctantly agrees to help hide the body.
