She appeared in Australian television shows like 'The Echo of Thunder' (1998), 'High Flyers' (1999), 'Something in the Air' (2000-2001), and 'Blue Heelers' (2000-2002). Browning's breakthrough role came with the horror film 'Ghost Ship' (2002), followed by her acclaimed performance as Violet Baudelaire in 'Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events' (2004), for which she won the Australian Film Institute International Award for Best Actress in 2005.
