Catherine Deneuve, born Catherine Fabienne Dorléac on October 22, 1943, is a renowned French actress known for her roles as mysterious beauties in films directed by Jacques Demy, Luis Buñuel, François Truffaut, and Roman Polanski. She has been nominated for the César Award 14 times, winning twice: once for 'The Last Metro' (1980) by Truffaut and another for 'Indochine' (1992). Pierre, a successful young writer from an affluent family, encounters Isabelle in the woods late one night. She claims to be his long-lost sister who was abandoned by their father. Intrigued by this revelation and driven by a desire to explore the darker aspects of human nature, Pierre decides to leave his privileged life behind. He breaks off his engagement with his cousin Lucie and travels to Paris with Isabelle. There, he begins writing a new novel under a pseudonym while his relationship with Isabelle grows increasingly complex and intimate.
