Léa Seydoux, born July 1, 1985, began her acting career in French cinema. She gained recognition for roles such as 'The Last Mistress' (2007), 'On War' (2008), and 'The Beautiful Person' (2008). She won the Trophée Chopard and received César Award nominations. Seydoux appeared in Hollywood films like 'Inglourious Basterds' (2009) and 'Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol' (2011). In July 1789, at the Château de Versailles, King Louis XVI and Queen Marie-Antoinette live with their courtiers in apparent oblivion to the rumbling French Revolution. When news of the storming of the Bastille reaches them, panic ensues, leading most aristocrats and servants to abandon the palace. Among those who remain is Sidonie Laborde, the Queen's reader, who remains devoted to her mistress despite the chaos. The film follows Sidonie's experiences during these last three days with the Queen.
