Chloë Sevigny, born November 18, 1974, is an American actress known for her roles in independent films. She started her career as a model and appeared in music videos before making her film debut in 'Kids' (1995). Sevigny gained prominence with her portrayal of Lana Tisdel in the drama 'Boys Don't Cry' (1999), earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Throughout her career, she has acted in various controversial and experimental films such as 'The Brown Bunny' (2004) and television series like 'Big Love' (2006-2011), winning a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in 2010.

In 'Sisters', a young doctor named Jack meets and spends the night with a mysterious woman named Mary, whom he meets at a children's party at a Vancouver mental health clinic. The next day, which happens to be Mary's birthday (as well as her unseen twin sister's), Jack goes out in search of a cake for Mary. Meanwhile, a reporter named Anna breaks into the office of Dr. Alexander Barsky, who runs the clinic, and witnesses him murdering someone on his closed-circuit television. Anna teams up with an investigator to pursue the truth about the murder. As they dig deeper, their investigation leads them back to the clinic and eventually uncovers a horrifying connection between Mary, her twin sister, Dr. Barsky, and Anna's own past.
